A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the name of the license holder as it appears on a 
driver's license.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 521.121, Transportation Code, is amended 
by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
	(c)  The department may not adopt or enforce a rule that:               
		(1)  prevents the full name of the holder from being 
included on the holder's driver's license; or
		(2)  limits the number of the holder's names that will 
be included on the holder's driver's license.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
