A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the compensation of certain district judges in Denton 
County.   
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 32.061(a), Government Code, is amended 
to read as follows:
	(a)  Notwithstanding Section 659.012, the [The] 
Commissioners Court of Denton County may pay the judge of the 16th 
Judicial District a reasonable annual salary of not less than 
$2,400 for services rendered and for administrative duties.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
