A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the Board of Law Examiners board member compensation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 82.005, Government Code, is amended to
read as follows:
Sec. 82.005. BOARD COMPENSATION. (a) The supreme court
shall set the compensation of each member of the Board of Law
Examiners, excluding reasonable and necessary actual expenses, at
an amount that does not exceed $30,000 [$20,000] a year.
(b) Subchapter B, Chapter 659, does not apply to the
compensation set under this section.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
