A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to providing information about Respiratory Syncytial 
Virus under certain continuing education programs.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 161, Health and Safety 
Code, is amended by adding Section 161.0106 to read as follows:
	Sec. 161.0106.  RESPIRATORY SYNCYTIAL VIRUS; IMMUNIZATION.  
As part of the education programs under Sections 161.0095 and 
161.010, the department shall include information regarding 
respiratory syncytial virus and the importance of preventative 
activities for and immunization of children at risk of contracting 
the virus.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
