A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the application of certain laws to certain insurance 
holding company systems.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Subsection (a), Section 823.015, Insurance Code, 
is repealed.    
	SECTION 2.  An insurance company holding system that becomes 
subject to Chapter 823, Insurance Code, as a result of the change in 
law made by this Act is not required to comply with that chapter 
before January 1, 2006.
	SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
