A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the allocation of community development block grant 
program funds.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 487.351, Government Code, is amended by 
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
	(c)  For each funding cycle, the office shall set aside at 
least four percent of available community development block grant 
program funds to address rural housing needs.
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
