A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the registration fee for certain lobbyists.                       
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:                        
	SECTION 1.  Section 305.005(c), Government Code, is amended 
to read as follows:
	(c)  The registration fee and registration renewal fee are:                    
		(1)  $100 for a registrant employed by an organization 
exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) or 
501(c)(4), Internal Revenue Code of 1986; or
		(2)  $500 [$300] for any other registrant.            
	SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect December 1, 2005.
