S.B. No. 1851
AN ACT
relating to the expansion of the East Medina County Special Utility
District and the composition of the district's board of directors.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subtitle C, Title 6, Special District Local Laws
Code, is amended by adding Chapter 7203 to read as follows:
CHAPTER 7203. EAST MEDINA COUNTY SPECIAL UTILITY DISTRICT
SUBCHAPTER A. GENERAL PROVISIONS
Sec. 7203.001. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter:
(1) "Board" means the board of directors of the
district.
(2) "Director" means a member of the board.
(3) "District" means the East Medina County Special
Utility District.
Sec. 7203.002. DISTRICT TERRITORY. The district's
boundaries are coextensive with the boundaries of the territory
that is described by certificate of convenience and necessity
number 10217.

SUBCHAPTER B. BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Sec. 7203.051. BOARD OF DIRECTORS. The board consists of
seven directors.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
