SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 25
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Dr. Carol V. Francois, who is retiring after 29 years
of outstanding service in public education; and
WHEREAS, Carol Francois is currently the chief of staff for
Mike Moses, general superintendent of the Dallas Independent
School District, and has ably served our state at the
Texas Education Agency, the Dallas Independent School District,
the Richardson Independent School District, and the Region 10
Education Service Center; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Francois's professional experiences have
ranged from teaching English to serving as associate
commissioner of education for the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, In her current position as chief of staff, she has
overseen the executive operations of the superintendent's
office; by working with departments throughout the school
district, Dr. Francois has helped develop cohesive and efficient
management operations; in addition, she has served as a liaison
to the Texas Education Agency in issues with district-wide
impact; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her long career, Dr. Francois has
earned the high regard and respect of her colleagues, and her
presence, wisdom, and wise counsel at the Dallas Independent
School District will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, commend Dr. Carol V. Francois for her many
achievements and her contributions to public education and
extend to her best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
