SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 40
WHEREAS, William Trotty of Troop 242 in Houston has
recently been honored by the Boy Scout program for attaining the
rank of Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS, William planned, developed, and conducted a
service project that has benefited his community; he conducted a
coat drive for the Star of Hope Foundation for the homeless; and
WHEREAS, William has brought great honor to himself in
earning the coveted Eagle Badge, and his family, his troop, his
community, and his state are justly proud of his great
accomplishment; and
WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
promise, this personable young man advanced through the ranks of
Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star, and Life classes before
reaching Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS, William has become one of the select few who have
earned this prestigious honor, and he is a shining example to the
young people of Texas; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby congratulate William Trotty on becoming
an Eagle Scout and commend him on this great achievement; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
Eagle Scout Trotty as an expression of high regard from the
Texas Senate.
