SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 45
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
to recognize Pamela Cheryl Wagner, who is retiring on
January 31, 2005, after more than 16 years of loyal service
with the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and more
than 20 years of service with the state; and
WHEREAS, In addition to working with the comptroller's
office, Pam Wagner has served with the Texas Association of
College Teachers and the State Pension Review Board; she is
retiring from the Taxpayer Publications Division at the
comptroller's office; and
WHEREAS, Pam has carried out her many responsibilities
with exceptional efficiency and dedication throughout her career
with the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, A community-minded individual, Pam Wagner is
known for her involvement with the Zavala Circle of Friends at
Zavala Elementary School; as a member of the group, she has
worked conscientiously on behalf of Zavala's students,
including arranging field trips to the State Capitol for
the school's fifth graders; and
WHEREAS, Pam's diligence and commitment to her
responsibilities in the Office of the Comptroller of Public
Accounts has gained her the admiration and respect of her
colleagues, and her presence there will be greatly missed;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Pamela Cheryl Wagner on her
exceptional service and her many contributions to our state and
extend to her best wishes for the retirement years ahead;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
