SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 46
In Memory
of
Inocente Ramirez
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of Austin in mourning the loss of Inocente Ramirez, who died January 10, 2005, at the age of 72; and WHEREAS, Born December 28, 1932, Inocente Ramirez was the founder and owner of Inocente's Cafe on East Cesar Chavez Street; he operated the restaurant for over 20 years; and WHEREAS, Mr. Ramirez was well known as an outstanding businessman and as a great humanitarian; and WHEREAS, He was admired for his genuine kindness to his fellow man and for his willingness to extend a helping hand to all; and WHEREAS, Mr. Ramirez's life stands as an inspiration to others, encouraging them to never give up their aspirations; a pragmatic optimist, he believed success can be attained through hard work; and WHEREAS, Inocente Ramirez was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Inocente Ramirez: his wife of 36 years, Maria J. Ramirez; his daughters, Sylvia Orellana, Minerva Ramirez, and Rosa Vargas; his sons, Inocente Ramirez, Jr., Pedro Inocente Ramirez, Jesus Inocente Ramirez, Alex Brown, and Johnny Brown; his brothers, Jose Guadalupe Ramirez, Pedro Ramirez, Ramiro Ramirez, and Roy Ramirez; his sisters, Paula S. Robles, Rosa Ella Sosa, Elida Rosales, Irma Rojas, Enedelia Ramirez, Arabelia Ramirez, and Olga Ramirez; and his 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the family of Inocente Ramirez as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Inocente Ramirez.
