SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 90
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Tammy Dombeck, who is being honored by the White Settlement
Area Chamber of Commerce at its 2005 annual banquet on February 12;
and
WHEREAS, Tammy Dombeck has been a broadcast reporter with
NBC 5 since March of 2000; her "Gridlock Busters" traffic reports
can be seen weekdays on NBC 5 Today from 5:00 a.m. until 7:00
a.m.; she also provides traffic reports for 100.3 FM and 770 AM
radio stations; and
WHEREAS, Tammy Dombeck grew up in White Settlement and
graduated from C.F. Brewer High School; she earned a bachelor's
degree at the University of North Texas; and
WHEREAS, In 1997, Tammy began her broadcasting career as
the radio news and traffic reporter for The Edge All Request
Morning Show and reported on traffic for other local radio
stations; in 2001, the Fort Worth Weekly honored her with a
nomination for "Best Gridlock Buster"; and
WHEREAS, Tammy also does corporate voice work for the
Raytheon Corporation and Please Hold, Incorporated; and
WHEREAS, An exemplary citizen, she reaches out to young
people through her talks at area schools; and
WHEREAS, Tammy Dombeck is a talented broadcaster, who
provides the community with important public safety information;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby extend congratulations and best wishes
to Tammy Dombeck, who will be recognized at the White Settlement
Area Chamber of Commerce annual banquet; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
