SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 134
In Memory
of
Audrianna Villarreal
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Audrianna Villarreal, who
died January 21, 2005, at the age of 15; and
WHEREAS, Audrianna lived life to the fullest as an active
member of several school, church, and community organizations;
a bright, well-liked student at Lanier High School, Audrianna
excelled in sports and particularly enjoyed volleyball and
softball; she loved working in the school's print shop and
participated in the Academic Decathlon; and
WHEREAS, Audrianna looked forward to attending college;
she was accepted into a special university outreach program at
The University of Texas at Austin, but she hoped to attend
Our Lady of the Lake in San Antonio so she could be close to her
grandparents; and
WHEREAS, She was involved in the San Antonio Youth
Opportunity program and enjoyed her youth group at Little Flower;
she intended to become more active in the Hispanic community by
joining the Junior League of United Latin American Citizens; and
WHEREAS, Audrianna was a young woman of many talents and
was a devoted daughter and granddaughter, and she leaves behind
memories that will be treasured forever by her family and many
friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the family
of Audrianna: her parents, Albert Joseph and Isabel Villarreal;
her brother, Albert J. Villarreal, Jr.; her grandparents,
Albert and Emma Villarreal; her great-grandmother, Lydia; and
her aunts and uncles and many cousins; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
members of her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so
in memory of Audrianna Villarreal.
