SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 151
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Justine Mary Martone, who is retiring after more than 22 years of exemplary service from the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts; and WHEREAS, Justine arrived in Texas more than 40 years ago and spent most of her adolescence in Dallas, although she also spent some time in Germany; and WHEREAS, Prior to her tenure with the comptroller, this dedicated professional worked for Locke Engineering, Mangelsdorf Insurance Agency, and National Car Rental; she also owned a gun and leather shop and worked as a bailiff for the 206th District Court in Edinburg; and WHEREAS, Justine Mary Martone exhibited professional excellence throughout her career as well as civic involvement by serving as a court-appointed special advocate for minors and as a mentor at Matthews Elementary School; and WHEREAS, Justine Martone set a high standard of professionalism, and the comptroller's office and the State of Texas have benefited greatly by her service; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to Justine Mary Martone on the occasion of her retirement; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
