SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 161
WHEREAS, Martin Chapman Bauer of Troop 399 in Austin has
recently been honored by the Boy Scout program for attaining
the rank of Eagle Scout, a rank achieved by only two out of every
100 boys in the program; and
WHEREAS, This fine young man displayed outstanding leadership
through the planning and execution of a service project that has
benefited his community; Martin repaired and replaced pew supports
at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd; and
WHEREAS, Martin advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot,
Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching the rank
of Eagle Scout by following the principles of the Scout oath and
promise; and
WHEREAS, By becoming an Eagle Scout, this personable young
man has brought great distinction to himself, his family, his
troop, his community, and his state; and
WHEREAS, Martin is an exceptional representative of the
State of Texas and a sterling example to all who have the good
fortune to know him; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Martin Chapman Bauer on earning
the rank of Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his great
achievement; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
for Eagle Scout Bauer as an expression of high regard from the
Texas Senate.
