SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 188
In Memory
of
Asher Maxwell Mohrer
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens
of Laredo in mourning the untimely loss of Asher Maxwell Mohrer,
who died February 18, 2004, seven hours after his birth; and
WHEREAS, Asher was born at 5:09 p.m. on February 17, 2004, and
was welcomed into this world by his mother, Katrina Borchers Mohrer,
and his father, Mauro Mohrer, who had looked forward to his arrival
with great hopes and anticipation; and
WHEREAS, During his short time on earth, Asher was surrounded
by the love of his family; he was in the arms of his mother and in the
loving presence of his father when he departed this world; and
WHEREAS, Nothing can prepare a couple for the loss of a child,
but the loving bonds of family that surround them will help them
endure this loss; and
WHEREAS, Although gracing this earth for only a few hours,
Asher leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his
loving family; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved
family of Asher Maxwell: his mother, Katrina Borchers Mohrer,
and his father, Mauro Mohrer; his brother, Brennan K. Mohrer;
his grandmother, Celita Pappas Borchers; his grandparents,
Dr. E. Fischel and Guitta Mohrer; his aunts and uncles,
Valerie Borchers, Erica Borchers, Mauricio Mohrer and
Marcelo Mohrer; and other family members and friends; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the
members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so
in memory of Asher Maxwell Mohrer.
