SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 225

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Dorothy Evans Sutton for her many contributions and 
years of distinguished service to the state; and

	WHEREAS, Since the beginning of her service in the Office 
of the Comptroller of Public Accounts in 1976, Dorothy has 
displayed the highest degree of professionalism and dedication 
and has set standards of excellence for others to follow; and

	WHEREAS, Dorothy's positions have entailed a wide range of 
responsibilities; she brought her considerable talents to bear 
in Planning and Research, Enforcement, Criminal Investigations, 
and Account Maintenance; and

	WHEREAS, The State of Texas has benefited greatly from the 
work of this respected individual, and Dorothy deserves 
recognition for her outstanding service; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby express sincere appreciation to
Dorothy Evans Sutton for her many years of loyal and dedicated 
service to our state; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
