SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 229

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
to recognize Stephen R. Marymee of Sam Houston Area Council
Troop 846, who recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout; and

	WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and 
promise, Stephen advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, 
Second, First, Star, and Life classes before earning the
coveted Eagle Badge; and

	WHEREAS, Stephen has become one of the select few who
have received this prestigious honor; only two out of every
100 Boy Scouts earn the rank of Eagle Scout; and

	WHEREAS, He completed a service project that required
him to exercise his leadership abilities and at the same time 
benefit his community; and

	WHEREAS, Throughout Stephen's scouting experience, he has 
demonstrated exceptional fortitude and perseverance to achieve 
his goal; he is a fine example for the young people of Texas; now, 
therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Stephen R. Marymee for earning 
the rank of Eagle Scout and congratulate him on his great 
achievement; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
Eagle Scout Marymee as an expression of high regard from the 
Texas Senate.
