SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 231

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Garret Twining of Boy Scout Troop 471 in Tomball, who 
recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout; and

	WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and 
promise, Garret advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, 
Second, First, Star, and Life classes before earning the coveted 
Eagle Badge; and

	WHEREAS, This personable young man demonstrated leadership 
by planning, developing, and conducting a service project that 
benefited his community; and

	WHEREAS, Few are privileged to be named among the ranks
of the elite corps of Eagle Scouts; only two out of every 100
Boy Scouts receive this distinguished honor; and

	WHEREAS, By becoming an Eagle Scout, Garret brings great 
honor to himself, his family, his community, and his state, and 
he sets a fine example for the young people of Texas; now, 
therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby congratulate Garret Twining on 
attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and commend him on his great 
achievement; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
Eagle Scout Twining as an expression of esteem from the
Texas Senate.
