SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 298
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in
joining the residents of Mansfield in proclaiming March 10, 2005,
Mansfield Day at the State Capitol; and
WHEREAS, Located in the southeast corner of Tarrant County
in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Mansfield is one of the
fastest growing cities in the area; and
WHEREAS, The City of Mansfield is flourishing economically
and owes much of its stability to the leadership provided by the
Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce; the chamber represents more
than 650 business organizations throughout the Mansfield area;
and
WHEREAS, The Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce brings
together businesses to support public policy initiatives that
meet their needs; and
WHEREAS, Noted for its many contributions to the overall
quality of life in Mansfield, the Mansfield Area Chamber of
Commerce builds productive partnerships between the business
community and local, state, and federal governments to provide
for positive growth in business development; and
WHEREAS, The members of the Mansfield Area Chamber of Commerce
have greatly influenced the economic growth and vitality of
Mansfield, and the residents of Mansfield have taken care to
preserve its many amenities in the face of growth and economic
development; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend the members of the Mansfield
Area Chamber of Commerce on their achievements and their
contributions to our state and extend best wishes to them for a
joyous Mansfield Day at the State Capitol; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the residents of Mansfield and the Mansfield Area Chamber of
Commerce as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
