SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 304

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
congratulate Spring Creek Restaurants Company on the occasion of 
its 25th anniversary; and
	WHEREAS, Under the guidance of its founder, Chris Carroll, 
the company has grown from one restaurant to 25 restaurants, 
including 16 Spring Creek Barbecue locations, two Shady Oak
Barbecue & Grill locations, and seven Mexican Inn Cafe locations;
the company also boasts an award-winning catering team; and
	WHEREAS, The company believes in giving back to every 
community it serves and has contributed to the people of
North Texas through its donations to youth groups, schools, and
churches and its support of Boys & Girls Clubs, Habitat for 
Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Bobby Bragan Youth 
Foundation, and the River Legacy Foundation; and
	WHEREAS, The strength of Spring Creek Restaurants Company 
resides in its people; it is led by an extraordinary management 
team, and its student employees earn bonuses for good grades in 
the classroom; and
	WHEREAS, The simple philosophy of excellent food served by 
great people in a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere has made 
Spring Creek Restaurants Company a Texas success story; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby congratulate Spring Creek Restaurants 
Company for 25 years of success and extend best wishes for the 
future to all those associated with the company; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as an 
expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
