SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 395
In Memory
of
Danny Anderson
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
citizens of Corpus Christi in mourning the death of United States
Army Private First Class Danny Anderson, who died February 27, 2005,
at the age of 29; and
WHEREAS, Danny died in Baghdad while courageously serving
his country in Operation Iraqi Freedom; he was assigned to the
26th Forward Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division,
based at Fort Stewart, Georgia; and
WHEREAS, Born December 6, 1975, in Corpus Christi, Danny
was a 1994 graduate of King High School; he had returned to
the school to share his military experiences and to encourage
the students to make the most of their education; he had found
purpose and a career in the military and wanted to motivate
others; and
WHEREAS, Danny Anderson serves as an inspiration to all
Texans and Americans and he will long be remembered for his
courage, integrity, and idealism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences and profound
sympathy to the bereaved family of Danny Anderson: his wife,
Moriama; his sons, Noah Anderson and Armando Cavazos; his father,
Dennis Anderson; his mother and stepfather, Pat and Larry Brady;
his sisters, Pattie Kalas and Vickie Morris; and his brother,
Michael Anderson; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do
so in memory of Private First Class Danny Anderson.
