SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 462
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize the Central and South Texas Minority Business Council on the occasion of its "Face Time" EXPO 2005, which is being held in San Antonio March 22 and 23; and WHEREAS, The Central and South Texas Minority Business Council helps minority business enterprises to grow and succeed; it is affiliated with the National Minority Supplier Development Council; one of 39 regional affiliated councils, it is headquartered in Austin and serves as a certification agency for corporate America; and WHEREAS, The Face Time EXPO in San Antonio is an efficient and cost-effective means for a number of key purchasing personnel and decision makers of corporations to meet owners of minority business enterprises in a short amount of time; and WHEREAS, Major corporations use the event to disseminate information about how to do business with their companies and to learn about minority-owned businesses that can fulfill their needs; and WHEREAS, As a result of the contacts established at Face Time EXPO 2005, minority-owned enterprises and corporations will develop lasting business relationships; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, hereby commend members of the Central and South Texas Minority Business Council for their efforts on behalf of minority business enterprises and major corporations and extend best wishes to all attending Face Time EXPO 2005 for a successful event; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in honor of this occasion.
