SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 467
In Memory
of
Trevor David Aston
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of Austin and Texas in mourning the loss of United States Marine Lance Corporal Trevor David Aston, who died February 22, 2005, while serving his country in Iraq; and WHEREAS, Trevor was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, on November 6, 1972; he graduated from Irvin High School in El Paso and attended college in El Paso and Austin; an Austin resident for the last nine years, he had planned to become a firefighter; and WHEREAS, He served in Al Anbar Province as a member of the 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve; he demonstrated exceptional commitment and courage fighting on behalf of our country's dedication to its goals; and WHEREAS, He was a devoted son and a true and loyal friend, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of United States Marine Lance Corporal Trevor David Aston: his mother, Jewel Ann Aston; his father, Robert R. Aston, and his wife, Catherine; and his grandmother, Lenore J. Aston; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for members of his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lance Corporal Trevor David Aston.
