SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 471
In Memory
of
Frank Prosser
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
citizens of San Antonio in mourning the loss of Frank Prosser,
who died February 2, 2005, at the age of 80; and
WHEREAS, Frank was born in the Bluff Springs Community of
Austin; he moved to San Antonio, where he worked for the Saint
Anthony Hotel; he retired after serving for over 30 years as
banquet manager; and
WHEREAS, An exemplary and distinguished gentleman,
Frank Prosser was noted for his generosity toward others, and his
wisdom, warmth, and valued counsel will not be forgotten by those
who knew him; and
WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather,
and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by his
family and many friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the
bereaved family of Frank Prosser: his wife of 47 years,
Melveline; his daughters and sons-in-law, Francine Maria Prosser,
Bonnie Marion Prosser Elder and Dr. Edward Carl Elder, and
Toni and Ken DeMore; his four grandchildren; and his five
siblings; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the
Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do
so in memory of Frank Prosser.
