SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 493
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Corina Reaume, who is retiring from the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts on March 31, 2005, after nearly 28 years of loyal service with the state; and WHEREAS, Corina began her state service in 1976 as an administrative technician with the Texas Rehabilitation Commission; she joined the comptroller's office on September 1, 1990; and WHEREAS, During her tenure in the comptroller's office, she served as an accounts examiner, accountant, auditor, and information specialist; she was the coordinator of the Electronic Mileage Guide and was drafter of the Texas Travel Allowance Guide and the Purchase Policies and Procedures Guide; she is retiring from her position as information specialist III; and WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Corina has been noted for her superior accounting skills and exemplary work performance; she was named Outstanding Team Player, and in 1995, she earned the title of Employee of the Quarter; and WHEREAS, She is a talented and resourceful individual and has handled her many responsibilities in the comptroller's office with exceptional efficiency and dedication; and WHEREAS, She is admired and respected by her colleagues, and her presence in the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, hereby commend Corina Reaume for her exceptional service and her many contributions to our state and extend to her best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
