SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 513

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize the Houston Association of Realtors and to proclaim 
April 2, 2005, Home Buying Seminar Day in Houston; and

	WHEREAS, It is widely acknowledged that owning a home
is a central component of the "American Dream," and that home 
ownership is a sign of success in our society; and

	WHEREAS, An organization of real estate professionals 
engaged in every aspect of the industry, the Houston Association 
of Realtors strives to enhance its members' ability to conduct 
business successfully and to loyally serve the public; and

	WHEREAS, The Houston Association of Realtors hosts Home 
Buying Seminars to educate Houstonians about the home buying 
process and about home ownership opportunities; and

	WHEREAS, The Houston Association of Realtors will host its 
2005 Home Buying Seminar at the West Loop Campus of the Houston 
Community College on April 2, 2005; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend the Houston Association of 
Realtors on its valuable contributions to the community and 
extend best wishes to all participating in Home Buying Seminar 
Day; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in 
honor of this event.
