SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 538
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize the Children's Learning Centers of Amarillo on the occasion of the organization's 80th anniversary and on the Grand Opening of its Kimble Learning Center; and WHEREAS, The opening of the Kimble Learning Center is the culmination of efforts by a wide variety of dedicated citizens and charitable groups; and WHEREAS, Founded in 1925 by the Potter County Federation of Women's Clubs to help working mothers and families in need, the Children's Learning Centers has grown from a single nursery to nine facilities serving children from six weeks to eleven years of age; and WHEREAS, The Children's Learning Centers curriculum includes developmentally appropriate learning activities, infant and toddler skills development programs, science activities, fine arts studies, field trips, and much more; and WHEREAS, The mission of this estimable organization has been to provide quality child care at a reasonable rate to the families of Amarillo, and as the city grew, the company grew; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, hereby commend the Children's Learning Centers for 80 years of invaluable service to the people of Amarillo; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for this exemplary organization as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
