SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 614

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Mr. and Mrs. Enrique Palacios on the joyous occasion
of their golden wedding anniversary; and
	WHEREAS, When they were married on March 27, 1955, Margaret 
and Enrique made a lifetime commitment to each other, and their 
mutual trust has been amply rewarded; and
	WHEREAS, The world has changed considerably during the 
years of their marriage, yet Mr. and Mrs. Palacios have cherished 
traditional family and moral values; and
	WHEREAS, Over the years, they have grown stronger in their 
love and devotion as together they have experienced the joys and 
sorrows of everyday living; and
	WHEREAS, They have been blessed with a wonderful family
and are much beloved by their children, Eloisa, Margaret,
Elvira, Mary Helen, Henry, Miriam, and Elizabeth, and by their
12 grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, The family and friends of the anniversary couple 
will join them on April 16, 2005, to share in the celebration of 
their marriage; and
	WHEREAS, The long and happy union of Margaret and Enrique 
is truly an inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore,
be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Enrique Palacios
on their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them best wishes 
for the future; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in 
their lives.
