SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 624
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Carl V. Reynolds as he leaves the position of general
counsel at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to assume the
duties as administrative director of the Texas Office of Court
Administration of the Texas Supreme Court; and
WHEREAS, A summa cum laude graduate of the University of
Cincinnati, Carl earned a master's degree in public affairs from the
Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs; he earned a law degree
with honors from The University of Texas School of Law; and
WHEREAS, Carl has helped guide the Texas Department of
Criminal Justice for more than 11 years, and his knowledge and
experience are much in demand as a lecturer throughout the country;
he has spoken at conferences for the American Bar Association,
the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and the Texas Ethics Commission; and
WHEREAS, A dedicated public servant, Carl will be deeply
missed at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice; he welcomes
the opportunity to advance the cause of the justice system by serving
the judicial branch at the Texas Office of Court Administration;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Carl V. Reynolds for his service
to the citizens of Texas and wish him well in his new position;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
