SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 634

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize the Coalition of Homeowner Alliances Requiring 
Government Equity; and

	WHEREAS, Organized by a group of North Houston citizens 
concerned about air and noise pollution, this group has developed 
from a small steering committee to a fast-growing association of 
homeowners; and

	WHEREAS, To meet the needs of its members, this organization
has established the following goals:  to stay abreast of issues 
affecting the area, to understand the desires of its members, to 
ensure members' issues receive fair and balanced representation, 
and to gain the trust and support of elected officials to effect 
desired change; members of the organization visited the Capitol 
on March 23, 2005; and

	WHEREAS, Participation is vital in a democracy, and an 
organization like the Coalition of Homeowner Alliances Requiring 
Government Equity is an example of that participation; now, 
therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend the Coalition of Homeowner 
Alliances Requiring Government Equity for the work it does on 
behalf of its members; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
for the organization as an expression of esteem from the
Texas Senate.
