SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 641

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize the Del Valle High School boys soccer team of the 
Ysleta Independent School District in El Paso for winning the 
University Interscholastic League Class 4A state championship; and

	WHEREAS, The Conquistadores defeated Aledo High School 3-2 
to capture their first state title; the team members displayed 
remarkable talent and determination in overcoming the loss of 
eight graduating seniors; and

	WHEREAS, The victory was a long-awaited landmark for a team 
that has made the Final Four three times in the last seven 
seasons; with a record of 25-4 and a state championship, this 
program has truly reached the pinnacle of its sport; and

	WHEREAS, Under the direction of Coach Bruce Reichman, the 
Del Valle High School Conquistadores have come to represent the 
best of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship; now, therefore, 
be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby congratulate the Conquistadores of
Del Valle High School for winning the University Interscholastic 
League Class 4A state soccer championship; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
the team as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
