SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 675

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Petty Officer Nicholas M. Romano on the occasion of his 
retirement from the United States Navy on June 30, 2005; and

	WHEREAS, In the course of his duties as a cryptologic 
technician, Petty Officer Romano has contributed to the security 
and well-being of the nation through his expertise and devotion 
to duty; and

	WHEREAS, For over 20 years, Petty Officer Romano has served 
the United States of America at home, at sea, and abroad with deep 
loyalty, dedication, and commitment; and

	WHEREAS, The embodiment of the Navy motto, "not self but 
country," Petty Officer Romano is justly deserving of recognition;
now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Petty Officer Nicholas M. Romano
for his years of service in the United States Navy; and, be it 
further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
