SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 693

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Eduardo Molina on the occasion of his retirement after
29 years and nine months of outstanding service and many contributions
to our state; and
	WHEREAS, Eduardo brought his talents to a wide range of 
positions in state service; the Texas Department of Health, the 
Texas Water Commission, the Texas Natural Resource Conservation 
Commission, and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality 
have all benefited from his professional expertise; and
	WHEREAS, Over the years, his career has been devoted to the 
field of public and environmental health; he was instrumental in 
the consolidation of the environmental regulatory programs from 
the Texas Department of Health into the Texas Water Commission; 
and he also served as part of the Consolidation Management Team 
that created the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and 
he is now retiring as its director of Financial Administration; and
	WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, 
Eduardo earned a master's degree in public administration from 
Southwest Texas State University; he currently serves as an adjunct
professor at Texas State University and is on the university's 
advisory board for the Certified Public Manager program; and
	WHEREAS, The State of Texas has benefited greatly from 
Eduardo Molina's dedication and many talents, and he is justly 
deserving of recognition for his years of exceptional service; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Eduardo Molina for his invaluable
contributions to the State of Texas and extend to him best wishes 
for a fulfilling retirement; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him 
as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
