SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 710

	WHEREAS, Phuwadol Thamathitikhun of Palestine earned a 
Merit award at the Texas Professional Photographers Association
Regional Convention, held in March 2005; and

	WHEREAS, This prestigious honor is the latest in a long 
list of accolades for Mr. Thamathitikhun, who has won more than 
100 competitions over the course of his distinguished career; 
and

	WHEREAS, A man of exceptional talent, he discovered his 
passion for photography as a teenager and currently uses his time
and skill to help promote tourism in his hometown and to raise 
money for charitable organizations; and

	WHEREAS, "Sunset in Manhattan," the print that earned 
Mr. Thamathitikhun his most recent award, is a testament to his 
creativity and technical expertise, and it is truly appropriate 
that he be recognized for his achievements; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
79th Legislature, hereby congratulate Phuwadol Thamathitikhun 
on earning a Merit award at the Texas Professional Photographers 
Association Regional Convention and extend to him sincere best 
wishes for continued success; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Thamathitikhun as an expression of high regard 
from the Texas Senate.
