SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 715
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Pastor Robert L. Nichols, Jr., a dynamic preacher and
spiritual leader, who celebrated a special birthday on
April 23, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Robert Nichols is the senior pastor at The River
of Life Church in DeSoto; he formerly served in the ministry in
Mesquite and Garland; he is a man of deep faith who combines his
evangelistic fervor with a unique ability to convey the
simplicity of the message of the gospel; and
WHEREAS, The youngest child of Robert L. Nichols, Sr.,
and Carolyn Nichols, he married his high school sweetheart,
Tina M. Nichols, on January 23, 1993, and the couple has three
children, LaMiracle, Destiny, and Robert L. Nichols III; and
WHEREAS, A man of spiritual depth and devotion,
Pastor Nichols is a source of strength to his church members
during their hardships and in times of bereavement; and
WHEREAS, A mentor and friend to many, he is a highly
respected church leader who has had a positive effect on the
lives of countless Christians; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Pastor Robert L. Nichols, Jr.,
for his ministerial leadership and extend to him best wishes for
the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
