SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 806

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
congratulate Jimmy Williams on his retirement and to recognize 
him for his many contributions and years of service to the
State of Texas; and

	WHEREAS, Since the beginning of his service to the state in 
1974, Jimmy has displayed the highest degree of professionalism 
and dedication; and

	WHEREAS, Jimmy began his career with the state at the Texas 
Welfare Department, and he subsequently worked at the Legislative 
Budget Board and the Texas Department of Community Affairs; in 1980 
he joined the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts; and

	WHEREAS, At the comptroller's office he has used his 
talents in areas as diverse as Support Services, Budget and 
Internal Accounts, Data Services, and the Information Security 
Division; and

	WHEREAS, The State of Texas has benefited greatly from the 
wisdom, skills, and expertise of this admirable individual, and 
Jimmy Williams is justly deserving of recognition for his 
outstanding service; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby express its sincere appreciation to 
Jimmy Williams for his loyal and dedicated service to the 
State of Texas and extend to him best wishes for the years ahead; 
and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
