SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 809

	WHEREAS, The Texas Senate is pleased to recognize 
Alaa Yousef, who has earned the Girl Scout Gold Award; the award 
is being presented to her by the Girl Scouts of Tejas Council on 
May 15, 2005; and

	WHEREAS, The Gold Award is the highest level of achievement 
in Girl Scouting and symbolizes accomplishments in the areas of 
leadership, community service, career planning, and personal 
development; and

	WHEREAS, Alaa has displayed outstanding leadership by 
designing and conducting a service project that will have a positive
and lasting effect on her community; and

	WHEREAS, By earning the Gold Award, Alaa brings great honor 
to herself, her family, her council, and her community, and she 
deserves recognition for her achievement; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
79th Legislature, hereby commend Alaa Yousef for earning this 
prestigious award and congratulate her on her outstanding 
accomplishment; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
