SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 829
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
to recognize Taylor A. Henderson on the occasion of his
graduation from Villanova University in Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS, A 2001 graduate of McNeil High School in
Round Rock, Taylor is graduating from Villanova University
with a bachelor of mechanical engineering degree and a
communications minor; and
WHEREAS, While at Villanova University, Taylor has
distinguished himself through participation in numerous
service projects and athletic and entrepreneurial activities,
and he has won the Dean's Award for Meritorious Service and
the Founder's Award; and
WHEREAS, Taylor was also the fundraising chair for a team
of Villanova students who traveled to Cape Town, South Africa,
to build a home with Habitat for Humanity and to work in an
orphanage; in addition, he volunteered all four years of his
academic career in the university's annual Special Olympics
Fall Festival; and
WHEREAS, In his years at Villanova University,
Taylor Henderson has successfully pursued a valuable education
and has demonstrated effective leadership and a commitment to
service to his fellow man; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Taylor A. Henderson on his
graduation from Villanova University and extend to him best
wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
