SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 831

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Patricia Anne Rueter on the occasion of her retirement
as principal from Dessau Elementary School in the Pflugerville 
Independent School District; and

	WHEREAS, An educator in Central Texas for over 37 years, 
Mrs. Rueter has played a vital role in the lives of thousands of 
students; she began her career as an elementary school teacher 
in Waco and moved to the Pflugerville Independent School District
in 1977; and

	WHEREAS, Mrs. Rueter has been a teacher and administrator 
for 28 years in Pflugerville and is now guiding the sons and 
daughters of the students she once taught; current and former 
students remember Mrs. Rueter for her positive attitude and for 
being a role model that many have tried to emulate; and

	WHEREAS, Under the motto "Dessau Pride," Mrs. Rueter has 
led Dessau Elementary School as principal for 18 years; not afraid
to use unconventional methods to help a student, Mrs. Rueter 
seeks to give her students the skills and self-confidence they 
need to succeed in school and in life; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
79th Legislature, hereby commend Patricia Anne Rueter for her 
many years of dedication to the students of Texas and extend to 
her best wishes for a fulfilling retirement; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
