SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 832
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Gary W. Griswold on the occasion of his retirement
after 23 years and 11 months of outstanding service to the
citizens of Texas; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the Office of the Comptroller of
Public Accounts in 1982, Gary has displayed the highest degree
of professionalism and dedication, and he has set standards of
excellence for others to follow; and
WHEREAS, Gary began his career in the Revenue Processing
Division and moved in 1988 to the Tax Allocation Section, where
his expertise in the implementation of the sales tax has been
invaluable; and
WHEREAS, The Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts
has benefited greatly from Gary's skill, loyalty, and diligence,
and he is justly deserving of recognition for his exceptional
service; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby express its sincere appreciation to
Gary W. Griswold for his many years of loyal service to the state
and extend to him best wishes for a fulfilling retirement; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
