SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 842

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Lauren Christine Windle of Lake Jackson on the occasion 
of her home school graduation on May 21, 2005; and
	WHEREAS, Lauren demonstrated exceptional diligence and 
determination in achieving the goals she set for herself, and she 
has fulfilled her requirements for a high school diploma; and
	WHEREAS, She maintained an A average in her high school 
classes, as well as in the dual credit courses she pursued at 
Brazosport College; she was selected for membership in the 
National Society of High School Scholars, and she participated
in the Student Honor Enrichment Council; and
	WHEREAS, As a member of the People to People Student 
Ambassador Program and of the Brazosport College Student Senate, 
Lauren has enriched her sense of citizenship; and
	WHEREAS, She has developed her physical strength, as well 
as that of mind and spirit during her 11 years as a student of 
dance, and she has sharpened her mentoring and leadership skills 
through her work as a dance instructor and assistant for four 
years; and
	WHEREAS, Lauren has successfully faced the many challenges 
of a home school education, and she is well prepared to embark on 
an adventure into a world that holds countless exciting 
opportunities for her; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Lauren Christine Windle for her 
outstanding accomplishments and extend to her congratulations on 
her graduation and many good wishes for future success in all of 
her endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
this exemplary young Texan as an expression of high regard from 
the Texas Senate.
