SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 859

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Edgar "Trey" Clark III for his exceptional achievements
at Desoto High School; and

	WHEREAS, An honors graduate, Trey has earned a 4.9 grade 
point average and is in the top five percent of his graduating 
class; and

	WHEREAS, During his high school years, Trey has been involved
in numerous extracurricular activities; he has served on the 
Desoto High School Student Council and has been a member of the 
track and field team and of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; 
he has been a member of the Spanish Club and the National Honor 
Society; and

	WHEREAS, He was a Christian Athlete of the Year semifinalist
in 2005 and was listed in Who's Who Among America's Top Students, 
2002-2004; he has been on the National Honor Roll and a member of 
the Spanish Honor Society; and

	WHEREAS, An exemplary young man and a high achiever, Trey 
establishes his goals and pursues them with perseverance and 
clear-sightedness; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
79th Legislature, hereby commend Edgar Clark III for his 
accomplishments and extend to him best wishes for success in the 
years ahead; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
