SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 873

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize the Daughters of W.A.R. Ministries on the occasion of 
its Mother and Daughter Brunch at the Doss Community Center on 
May 14, 2005; and

	WHEREAS, The Daughters of W.A.R. is a women's ministry that 
encourages accountability, leadership, understanding, 
excellence, and high standards; this respected group was founded 
in 1997 by Lady Belinda E. Taylor of Grace Cathedral Church in 
Houston; and

	WHEREAS, To promote its vision, "Women Are Ready," the 
Daughters of W.A.R. Ministries sponsors women's conferences, 
women's retreats, and an annual women's share night; and

	WHEREAS, This admirable ministry makes an impact on many 
women's lives; it promotes the belief that faith is essential to 
finding direction in life; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend the Daughters of W.A.R. 
Ministries for the organization's outstanding efforts to improve 
the lives of women and extend to its members best wishes for the 
future; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
this organization as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
