SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 884
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Janet C. Pyle, who is retiring from the Office of the
Comptroller of Public Accounts after 31 years of loyal service to
the state; and
WHEREAS, Janet began her career with the comptroller in the
Franchise Tax Division as a clerk and later transferred to Audit
Processing in the Audit Division as an examiner; she moved to
Revenue Accounting, then to Revenue Refunds and on to Unclaimed
Property, and finally returned full circle to Audit Processing; and
WHEREAS, She has led Audit Processing through numerous
reorganizations and implementations, efficiently utilizing new
procedures when legislative enactments or system conversions
dictate; she has been a respected advisor, and she has lent her
guidance to Audit Headquarters, the Euless Processing Center,
and field auditors and managers throughout the United States; and
WHEREAS, Janet's calm tenacity and focused dedication,
coupled with her honesty and impressive work ethic, set a high
standard of professionalism for her colleagues; her presence in
the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly
missed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Janet C. Pyle for her invaluable
contributions and dedicated service to our state and extend to
her best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
