SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 894
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Deborah DeAnn Luper on the occasion of her retirement from the Texas Workforce Commission on May 31, 2005, after 29 years of loyal service to the state; and WHEREAS, Deborah has been working for the Texas Workforce Commission for five years; she is currently a legal assistant in the Office of the General Counsel; and WHEREAS, She was employed previously with the state at the Texas Department of Commerce, Texas Department of Economic Development, and General Service Commission; she also worked for the House of Representatives in the property office and the offices of Speakers of the House Gib Lewis and Pete Laney; and WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure with the Texas Workforce Commission, Deborah was noted for assuming positions of increasing responsibility with exceptional expertise; she had even mastered the esoteric skill of preparing rule submissions for the Texas Register; and WHEREAS, An exemplary and dedicated public servant, Deborah is admired and respected by her colleagues, and her presence at the Texas Workforce Commission will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th Legislature, hereby commend Deborah DeAnn Luper for her many years of valuable service to the state and extend to her best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of the high regard of the Texas Senate.
