SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 896
	WHEREAS, May 6, 2005, will be a day long remembered and 
cherished by Corby and Erin Brooks, for on that day their son 
William Carter Brooks was born; and
	WHEREAS, The beautiful baby boy arrived at 1:46 p.m.; he 
weighed seven pounds 14 ounces and was 21 inches long; and
	WHEREAS, This blessed event has brought great pride and 
happiness to Carter's family, and it is indeed appropriate that 
the Texas Senate welcome this new little Texan as a treasured 
citizen of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby extend congratulations to Corby and
Erin Brooks and best wishes for the future to William Carter Brooks;
and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
the family as a memento of this special day in their lives.
