SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 907
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
citizens of Duncanville in congratulating Brant Flanagan of
Boy Scout Troop 355, who recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout;
and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young man has brought honor to
himself, his family, his troop, his community, and his state in
earning the coveted Eagle Badge; and
WHEREAS, Brant completed a service project that required
him to exercise his leadership abilities and at the same time
benefit his community; he constructed and installed five benches
along the hiking path at the Dallas Nature Center off of Mountain
Creek Parkway; and
WHEREAS, Few are privileged to be named among the ranks of
the elite corps of Eagle Scouts; only two out of every 100 Boy
Scouts earn this distinguished honor; and
WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
promise, Brant advanced from Tenderfoot, Second, First, Star,
and Life classes to Eagle Scout; he is truly an exemplary citizen
of the State of Texas; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby congratulate Brant Flanagan on
attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and commend him on this great
achievement; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
