SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 914
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Nancy Albert Brembry on the occasion of her retirement
from the Dallas Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, After earning a degree from Huston-Tillotson
College and attending Texas Southern University, Nancy Brembry
worked for Western Union Telegraph Company and Dallas Power and
Light Company before deciding upon a teaching career; she enrolled
at Southern Methodist University and earned a teaching certificate;
she then earned a master's degree in early childhood education
from Texas Woman's University; and
WHEREAS, A talented educator, Mrs. Brembry taught school on
all levels, but discovered her affinity for elementary education;
she was a valued teacher at T.D. Marshall Elementary School, and
she has been teaching at John Neely Bryan Elementary School for
more than 10 years; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Brembry's students greatly benefited from her
skillful teaching methods, her sincere concern for the individual,
and her wise counsel and encouragement; and
WHEREAS, A dedicated and resourceful educator, Mrs. Brembry
instilled in her students an appreciation for hard work and a
love of challenge and learning; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Nancy Albert Brembry for her many
contributions to the Dallas Independent School District and extend
to her best wishes for a fulfilling retirement; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
